Floral Inspired Spring Wedding at The Clayton House: Erica & Mark

Erica & Mark got married on a toasty spring day in May. They had decided to have their somewhat intimate celebration at The Clayton House. Since this venue is typically used for much larger events, we had to get creative on how to use the spaces in a way that made sense for their group size. In doing so, E & M got to be one of the only couple’s to celebrate in this way, at this property…. and you know we love a unique wedding!

Ceremony was held on the outdoor covered patio (typically used as more of a cocktail hour space). Having the green hedge as a built-in backdrop made the gorgeous purple and white floral arch pop even more. Then cocktail was held on the other “covered patio” area near where guests typically enter for ceremony. This made for the perfect transition when guests finally headed inside the Rafter’s room for dinner and dancing. By doing this flow, we eliminated needing to use the traditionally used spaces that can hold 350+ guests.

So, not only was there a unique spin on how the venue was being used, but Erica’s dress choice also stood out as a unique showstopper. The subtle flower overlay paired so beautifully with the organic floral details seen throughout the day. Needless to say, no one was talking about the extreme temperatures that ensued… they were all talking about Erica’s dress!
