The Ultimate Girl's Weekend/ Bachelorette Party at Andaz Scottsdale
Summertime in Arizona- many hate it, but I LIVE FOR IT! It’s my favorite time of year. I’m pretty sure sunshine is my love language… And as summer comes to an end, we just aren’t ready to let go just yet.
While the summer’s may be hot in AZ, they also are long[er] which allows for all the snowbirds to flock our way in the spring, fall, and winter. Arizona has become a destination location for not only weddings, but for bachelor/ bachelorette parties, quick weekend getaways, staycations, and has even become the ultimate girl’s trip hotspot. The Phoenix/ Scottsdale area is flooded incredible resorts that offer discounted rates in the summer. One of our favorites is the Andaz Scottsdale. Located just north of Old Town Scottsdale, it’s a perfectly hidden gem that feels like paradise. With bungalow style rooms and picturesque landscaping at every turn, it’s no wonder it’s so popular for people looking to escape the chaos of daily life (thank you 2020).
One of our favorite local photographers, Daniel Kim, came to us with the idea of capturing the essence of a “girl’s weekend/ intimate bachelorette party” and asked us to help make it happen. So, we grabbed a group of besties, helped style them, and headed to [where else?] the Andaz. We currently live in a world where everything is captured on our phones. Photos and videos of you and your friends, of your vacations, and even what you’re having for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. In the era of “documenting everything,” we noticed a new trend of professional photographers being hired for bachelorette parties or weekends away, just the two of you. A lot of photographers would probably love the opportunity to capture such a fun, stress-free get together. DK recently shot a few and the end product was authentically joyful…just like this one.
