Modern Boho Desert Garden Wedding Featured on GreyLikes Weddings: Jocelyn & Tommy

Let me be suuuuuuper real with you for a hot minute, internet -we haven't posted this wedding yet because narrowing down the INCREDIBLE images from the talented Rachael Koscica Photography has felt like an extremely overwhelming task that I wasn't ready for.  EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO. from this day brings tears to my eyes.  I see the moments, I feel the feelings. I relive the day over and over again. We love this couple so much.  We love their families.  We love their friends.  We love their frenchie (who has her own Instagram, btw). And we REALLY love their wedding.  The way THEY made US feel during THEIR wedding week/day is what we dream of as planners.  We work hard to provide and serve our clients with everything we have and to feel the amount of trust, support, and love given by this couple and their crew is something we will never, EVER forget.

Jocelyn & Tommy's modern boho wedding day was a joyous celebration filled with so much love and laughter.  Set in sunny Chandler, Arizona, the couple filled Bella Rose Estate with an aisle made of rugs, wooden farm tables, macrame runners, and pampas grass to give a modern makeover of the classic Arizona aesthetic. J & T live out of state (in California) but knew they wanted to get married in Arizona.  Jocelyn's family lives in AZ but they hired us to help design and plan the wedding of their dreams alongside Jocelyn's mom.  So much time, thought and detail went into designing this wedding and it truly was a beautiful celebration.

The navy, peach, blush, apricot & rose-gold color pallet was the perfect combo for this all-outdoor wedding. We knew we needed to use every ounce of the venue's luscious landscaping, perfectly accented by cafe lights and candles after sunset. Jocelyn loved so much about Bella Rose Estate but knew that with our help, we could really transform the outdoor space into something that had never been done there before.  One of the only things she didn't really love about the property, was the gazebo in which the ceremony was to take place.  We obviously knew there was no way to remove the gazebo, so we put our thinking caps on, scrolled through Pinterest, and talked to a few vendors in order to come up with some other options.  We settled on creating this massive pampas grass backdrop that wouldn't cover up the entire gazebo, but would instead distract from it.  The backdrop turned out better than we ever could have imagined thanks to LUX Wedding Florist and it was def the event showstopper. Now, just to be honest, it wasn't a cheap showstopper, so we created another use for it later in the evening.  Since we would be doing a flip during cocktail hour (flipping the ceremony space into the reception space so that the entire event could be outside), we were able to use the pampas grass backdrop as the photo booth backdrop.  Also, due to it's location within the space, it appeared in the background of the sweetheart table, the dances, the dance floor, etc... Needless to say, we made sure that thing was worth every penny!! The pampas grass was then incorporated throughout the rest of the event to tie it all together- in Jocelyn's STUNNING bouquet, centerpieces, invitation styling, and more. Freed Hands once again killed it with her paper designs.  She created a custom envelope liner design that screamed boho and was then carried through onto other day-of paper goods.  The pieces of the invitation suite were created using a custom irregular die-cut to give it sort of a abstract geometric vibe.  That too was then carried out throughout the wedding day paper. Tremaine Events was our number one go-to for all things rentals for this wedding.  We came up with the idea of using the back of their wooden donut wall for the escort display (this might be one of the best ideas we've ever had). We used a combo of their wooden benches and garden chairs for the ceremony and reception seating. The bride and groom had specialty seating at their sweetheart table, as well as in Tommy's cigar bar setup. During the reception, their harvest tables were covered with the amount of details every bride dreams of having.  Colored goblets, macrame table runners, rose gold flatware, apricot colored napkins, pretty paper goods, and fantastic combos of florals, candles, and table numbers. Really, no detail was left behind.

Both Jocelyn and Tommy nailed their wedding day looks.  Jocelyn was hands down one of the most breathtakingly beautiful brides we have ever seen.  Her simple, timeless dress paired perfectly with her groom's custom fit navy suit.  Her hair and makeup were done by some of the best in the game- Maggie Hancock & Ashley Doran. This bride and groom knew they looked good and you could see it on their faces.  These two were beaming with confidence and happiness all day long.

We could go on and on about this perfect wedding (as I'm sure you could guess by now), but we'd rather you just get to look through all of the pretty photos/video and see it for yourself.  Enjoy!!!
