The Most Colorful 30th Birthday Bash Ever featured on Inspired by This

Working in the wedding industry can sometimes feel like a game of copy/paste/repeat. When blush and ivory aren't just a trend anymore, they are forever wedding colors that aren't going anywhere...we found ourselves in need of a colorful creative outlet. We decided to design a rainbow shoot with the help of some of our most favorite creatives.

98% of what we do is weddings, but we are also able to create magic for any kind of event or celebration. That being said, we decided to do a fun 30th birthday party styled shoot instead of a wedding shoot. The idea being- 30 can still be fun and colorful...rainbows aren't just for kids, the gays, AND they don’t have to be gaudy! We also knew we needed to include Tremaine Events balloon installation talents- is there anything better than a rainbow balloon arch above your dinner table?!? Using all of these bright colors to create a birthday celebration that exudes happiness was an easy task. The hard part was making it all happen in 100 degree temps (love me some AZ summer weather). Custom rainbow drinks by Iconic Cocktail appropriately titled “The ROY G” and “The BIV” were the perfect way to cool down. And can we talk about that cake!!!! We loved a Bakeshop’s mature approach to designing a birthday cake covered in all the colors of the rainbow. Experimenting with color and adding in all of the fun extra details (soda bottles, rock candy, hand-dyed napkins, colored goblets, etc…) made this a rainbow lovers dream! The invite, the hand lettering…all bonuses!! And it was all captured by the color queen herself Lunabear Studios.

FUN FACT: We did this shoot at Hotel Valley Ho on May 3rd. We were married at Hotel Valley Ho on May 3rd, four years earlier. ;)

This shoot was so fun…it’s no wonder it was feature on Inspired by This, as well as in Modern Luxury Scottsdale Magazine!!!

And a big thank you to the incredible vendors who helped make this magic:
